Introducing the policy

The Symantec Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) Baseline Policy for the Center

for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmark for Red Hat Enterprise Linux assesses a

host’s compliance with the benchmark's recommendations.

This release of the policy was built based on the CIS benchmark version 1.1.2 for

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0 and 5.1. This policy can be installed on Symantec

ESM 6.5.3 and later managers running Security Update 36 or later on Red Hat

Enterprise Linux version 5.
