Plugin issues

Please note the following known plugin issues.

All operating systems

If your plugin has an existing manually created configuration, you will need to

select the

Import Config From Plugin check box on the Define Plugins window

when adding the plugin for the first time to the Administration Server or your

existing configuration will be lost.

Cisco

• Due to a limitation in the Cisco Content Engine, the Administration Server

controlled download method is not supported.

• Cisco PIX/Cisco ASA sometimes sends an invalid URL to the IFP server.

The IFP server detects this as an error and reports it. Although the IFP

server reports this as an error, there is nothing wrong.

SmartFilter IFP Server only

Although you are able to select the NTLM directory type for all platforms, the

NTLM directory type is supported on Windows only.

Sun Java System Web Proxy Server only

SmartFilter proxy plugin software is supported on Sun UltraSPARC hardware

only.
