Note: Manyseconds pass beforethe screenchanges. Do notrepeatedlypresstheTab
or Enterkeys, or you willskip forward several screens, bypassingthe next screen in
the configuration sequence.
Use the down/up arrow keys to make selections in the configuration screen.
6. Select “Basic Host Information.” Press Enter.
7. Select “Host name.”
■ Delete the default host name using the Delete or Backspace key.
■ Type the name of your machine.
8. Select “Primary Name and Domain.”.
■ Delete the default primary name using the Delete or Backspace key.
■ Type the name of your machine and its domain.
9. If your machine has aliases, select “Aliases (opt).”
■ Delete the default alias name using the Delete or Backspace key.
■ Type any aliases for your machine.
10. Select “IP Address.”
■ Delete the default IP address using the Delete or Backspace key.
■ Type the IP address of your machine.
11. Press the Tab key to select the Accept button, and press Enter.
You see the following:
The DNS has been updated.
Select OK by pressing Enter.
12. Using the down arrow key, go to “Name Server Specification.” Press Enter.
The Resolver Confirmation screen appears.
■ If you want to use DNS, keep the default DNS selection: “[X] DNS is required
for normal operation.”
■ If you do not want to use DNS, remove the “X: [ ] DNS is required for normal
operation.” Go to step 16.
13. To use DNS, using the down arrow key, move to “default domain.”
■ Enter your default domain.
