5.1 Questions and answers about the TOPSPIN license

1. Which programs need a license?

OPSPIN, NMR-SIM and NMR-GUIDE need a license.

If you do not have a license for T

OPSPIN, it will start up in an emergency mode

if your PC is connected to a spectrometer. However, N

MR-SIM and NMR-GUIDE

will not run without a valid license.

CON-NMR is always used in connection with TOPSPIN and does not need an in-

dividual license.

OPSPIN PLOT EDITOR has an individual license but it comes in a bundle with

every kind of T

OPSPIN license, so if you have a TOPSPIN license you have also

a T

OPSPIN PLOT EDITOR license. If TOPSPIN is running with the spectrometer li-

cense T

OPSPIN PLOT EDITOR offers limited functionality only.

URELIA, AMIX, MAXENT, GLP and PARAVISION do need a license which

must be ordered for each program separately.

2. Which license types are available and what programs may be run with each?

There are six different license types, details of each are given in the following
