7 Read the agreement and, if you agree with the terms, select "I accept
the terms of license agreement" and click Next.
8 Specify the directory where you want to install the Message Server.
You must have write permissions on this directory.
9 Specify the path of JDK1.3.1_01 installed on the machine.
If you specify an incorrect path, you cannot proceed with the
installation.
10 Enter the Licensee name and the License key.
If you download the files from the web site, the license key is mailed to
the e-mail address specified by you in the download form. However, if
you are installing from the CD, the license key is provided with the
CD package. For more information on licensing, send a mail to
11 Click Next.
The installation process starts.
12 Click Finish.
The installation process is complete. The standalone Message Server is
installed on your machine. You can now verify your installation.
Verifying Installation on Solaris and Linux
Server
To verify the Server installation:
1 At shell prompt, change directory to <install dir>/server/bin.
2 Run the shell script runstartupsvc.sh. This starts the Pramati
Administration Service on port 4748. The Service opens in a Web
browser.
3 Login to the Service by entering the login and password. You can use
the default entries, root and pramati. Click Login.
